New to Netflix, Shirley is an American biographical drama film written and directed by John Ridley (12 Years A Slave). It depicts the failed 1972 presidential run of Shirley Chisholm, who was already the first Black woman to be elected to the United States Congress.
The film stars Oscar Winner Regina King in the title role, and features The Joy of Christmas by Dom James and Street Girl by Peter Reno.
