What Is Online Reporting?
In order to synchronize music from the DeWolfe Music Catalogs, a license must be obtained. Our online form allows you to apply for a license for the DeWolfe Music used in your production.

  How can I license music for a production that requires additional rights not stated in my DeWolfe Music agreement?
Go to Online Reporting and fill out an application for the additional rights that are required for your production.

  How do I determine what music clearance categories to apply for?
Music clearance categories are distinguished as such:
Non-Broadcast (click for full definition) productions can be differentiated on this form between Standard (which includes Corporate Training, Sales Videos, Conferences, etc), Telephone On Hold and Point Of Purchase (P.O.P.) displays which also requires that you report the amount of locations.
Productions for Distribution/Sale (click for full definition) need to have an estimated number of units provided as it will affect the cost.
Cable/Broadcast TV Productions
All productions need to be defined by their territory as such:

• National Cable TV
• All TV Media National
• All TV Media Worldwide Commercials/Promos

All Commercials and Promos need to be defined by their territory as such:

  What are Tags and why do I need to specify quantity?
Each tag requires a separate license; therefore the quantity will impact the license fee.

  License Fee: How much does it cost to use DeWolfe Music?
Each license requires a consultation to determine the appropriate fee for that usage. Please contact one of our sales representatives for more information.

  Unidentified Music: How do I identify a track of DeWolfe Music if I do not know which CD it came from?
Feel free to call one of our music consultants who will be able to assist you.

  What does Catalog Number mean and where do I find it?
Each CD in the DeWolfe Music Library is identified by an alpha-numerical catalog number on the spine of the jewel case. (Example DWCD0333)

  What does “Number of Uses” refer to?
This refers to the amount of times a single piece of music is used in a production. A single piece of music refers to any and all uses of that piece, regardless of the individual length of each occurrence.

  What does “Title” refer to?
Title of Production that the music was used in.

  What does “Client” refer to?
This is your client – the company and/or people that you created this production for. If this was produced for your own company or yourself, then you may leave this field blank.

  What does “Product” refer to?
If the production is promoting a product of some kind, fill in that information in this field. If there is no product, you may leave this field blank.

  What does “Origin of Music” refer to?
If you or your company do not have an account with DeWolfe Music, please indicate how you obtained the music. This information enables us to track our usage and service those who have music needs.

  When applying for a license, am I required to provide all music cues?
Yes, for purposes of collecting performing rights for our publishers and composers, we need to know which pieces of music were used.

  When will I receive my approved license?
Once the online license has been completed, it will be processed by a DeWolfe representative and an invoice will be sent to you within seven to ten days. The license becomes valid upon receipt of full payment. In order to expedite the process, you may pay by credit card by contacting one of our sales representatives.
